CONNECTING Journey 2
This intermediate journey is designed to encourage you to volunteer within the four walls of Frontline in order to be able to connect with those around you. To sign up for this eight week discipleship journey and receive help along the way, fill out the form below. Your cohort leader will connect with you!
1 | LEARN
As God’s people we are called to be in community with one another, one great way to experience this is by serving in the church. We all are given unique abilities and talents that can be used to serve others in the church. In step 1 of this journey you will read the book, Not Normal by Sue Miller & Adam Duckworth. This book that will walk you through how to make the most of volunteering.
2 | DISCOVER
In Romans 12 verses 6-8 the Bible lays out the differing spiritual gifts. As people who continually grow in their faith it’s important to explore where you are today in your walk with God and discover your spiritual gifts. In step 2 of this journey you will take the spiritual gifts assessment. This will help you to evaluate what your gifts are and to see if where you are serving is the best fit for your gifts.
When you finish, share the results of your test with us! This helps Frontline in equipping you better as you pursue deeper levels of community and serving.
3 | WATCH
We are called to live in community and to connect with one another, this was not meant to be done on our own. Each serving opportunity provides you with interactions within that community. In step 3 of this journey you will watch this video for some inspiration. You have access to this video through an online resource called RightNow Media. This is a FREE resource for members of Frontline small groups.
4 | MAKE CONNECTIONS
We are called to live in community and to connect with one another; life was not meant to be done on our own. Step 4 in this connecting journey is to take an action by making connections with the volunteers you work closely with. This may mean coming early to connect, scheduling a time outside of your serving time to share a meal or coffee, or meeting a need within your serving group. Afterwards, come back here and share your experience with us.
4 | REFLECT
At the conclusion of this journey, it is time to look back at where you've been and reflect on how God has changed you through it. The final step in this journey is to prayerfully reflect on how you have grown and been transformed in these past couple months, while also considering what your next season of discipleship holds.
